A Special Tribune of the Colorado Supreme Court has publicly censured and ordered a former Mesa County district judge to pay $20,658.00 in fees and costs after he made repeated sexual propositions to an attorney while intoxicated at a Colorado Bar Association conference.

A special tribune of the state high court convened to consider the violations of former Judge Lance P. Timbreza, as the Colorado Supreme Court had to recuse itself in this matter under Rule 41(b) of the Colorado Rules of Judicial Discipline.
