The ongoing fight between Disney and Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis took on a new dimension Wednesday as the entertainment conglomerate tapped Wilmer Cutler Pickering Hale and Dorr and O’Melveny & Myers in a new federal lawsuit filed against the governor Wednesday.

The suit says that Disney has been left with no choice but to fight back against DeSantis in the courts, citing “a relentless campaign to weaponize government power against Disney in retaliation for expressing a political viewpoint.” The move comes after weeks of back-and-forth power plays between Florida’s largest employer and its governor.
