North Carolina Central University (NCCU) has appointed Malik Edwards as the interim dean of the School of Law, effective July 5, reporting to David H. Jackson Jr., provost and vice chancellor for academic affairs.

Edwards succeeds Browne Cornell Lewis, who died unexpectedly June 2 while attending the Law School Admission Council conference in Colorado. She had been dean since July 1, 2020.
