Eric B. Williams II may be the second “Eric B.” in his family, but he has achieved a lot of firsts: first in his family to receive an advanced degree, first to attend law school, first Black male to serve as editor-in-chief of the South Texas Law Review at South Texas College of Law Houston and now the school’s first Black valedictorian.

Williams was also the only honoree from a Texas law school named a 2022 National Jurist Law Student of the Year, a Presidential Fellow, and a Langdell Scholar. He was also honored as STCL Houston’s 2021-22 Outstanding Male Student.
