Private equity stalwart Paul Dolman’s arrival at Latham & Watkins from Travers Smith has been a long-awaited one. Having gone on gardening leave from the U.K. firm he called home for the past 23 years in January, Dolman’s reputation as a top dealmaker meant his move was the subject of much excitement in the market even before he landed at Latham in early July.

Now six weeks into his tenure at the U.S. giant, Dolman says he is itching to get stuck in.
