In the summer and early fall, a majority of partners expected their 2020 compensation to take a hit this year, a recent report said. But a quick rebound of the legal economy may have erased those fears, at least for some, a more recent, albeit smaller, survey found.

In a survey of more than 1,200 partners across law firms of all sizes between July and September, roughly 68% of equity partners and 74% of nonequity partners said their compensation was sure to be affected by the pandemic, according to a report by Major, Lindsey & Africa released earlier this month.
