Now that many top-paying big firms have fallen in line with the 2020 trend of giving a special bonus along with a regular year-end reward for associates, litigation boutiques are considering their move. Several have said they intend to remain competitive.

For many litigation-heavy practices, 2020 has been a tricky year, as courts were forced to close because of COVID-19 restrictions. However, some litigation practice leaders have said business was generally better than expected.
