Lawyers in Dubai fear a second wave of the coronavirus outbreak.

Worrying signs that coronavirus infections in the United Arab Emirates are once again rising in a possible ‘second wave’ could blight the trade, tourism and real estate recovery Dubai was hoping would re-incentivize its economy. A worry for local lawyers. 

On Saturday, the UAE reported an all-time daily high of 1,231 COVID-19 infections, a figure in stark contrast to the situation in Saudi Arabia and Qatar, where case numbers are back down to lows last seen in April. But it’s also a well-prepared nation which has conducted the world’s highest proportion of COVID-19 tests per million of the population.
