In 2014, the minimum salary for trainee solicitors will be abolished. JDG Chambers assesses the impact this will have on current students.
Two years from now, law firms in England and Wales will no longer be required to pay trainee solicitors a minimum salary, which on current levels requires trainees in central London to be paid at least £18,590 and their peers outside the capital £16,650.
