SJ Berwin, Travers Smith and King & Spalding have all landed roles on French retailer Groupe Ludendo’s £60m acquisition of iconic toy store Hamleys from nationalised Icelandic bank Landsbanki.

SJ Berwin corporate partner David Parkes led a team advising Landsbanki on the sale, while Travers Smith advised Ludendo with a team headed up by Paris office chief David Patient.
