The Diary made its big-screen debut last week after a visit to the shiny new London office of top Indian firm Fox Mandal Little. Your correspondent was led through the small but perfectly-formed premises (which took about five seconds) and shut away in the main conference room to wait for the relevant grandees.

The Diary found itself staring at its own immaculate image in a vast plasma screen covering most of the far wall, with various streams of important-looking numbers flashing past in a way that would have met with approval from Blofeld-esque super-villains everywhere.
