Herbert Smith has approved plans which will see the City giant make its long-awaited Dubai launch, taking a chunk of Norton Rose’s local operation, as revealed exclusively today by Legal Week.

The vote, which required the backing of 75% of the equity partners, was passed yesterday (18 October) and will see Dubai-based Norton Rose finance partner Nadim Khan and corporate finance partner Zubair Mir join Herbert Smith to start the operation.
