When you think of your typical bead-bedecked festival folk, Linklaters partners probably do not spring instantly to mind. Certainly, matted dreadlocks are rarely on display at a firm that once prided itself on being home to the greyest of the City’s legions of very grey men.
That (black and white) image was recently called into doubt by one of the firm’s surprisingly wacky leveraged finance supremos, however, who attempted to divert a recent line of questioning with the unlikely excuse that he was “having a bad hair day”.
