Mayer Brown Rowe & Maw is set to seal a strategic alliance with leading Italian independent Tonucci; as international firms turn their backs on full-blown mergers in the key European market.
The 200-lawyer Tonucci has a partners’ meeting set for 15 December when it will assess whether to press ahead with a formal alliance with the 1,300-laywer US firm.
