Any internet portal designed by law firms for their business clients will need a clear and coherent content strategy. That means it has to be designed to add real value to the relationship. If it does not, there is absolutely no point in having it there in the first place.

In our experience, the way to ensure the portal adds value is to design it with the assistance of the firm’s client base, using their feedback to develop it into a product that provides useful services and does exactly what the client needs it to do. Too many providers, both inside and outside the legal profession, have simply developed their internet product in-house and launched it on an unsuspecting public.
