Clarke Willmott has become the first law firm to issue proceedings against stricken assurance company Equitable Life – taking the unusual step of handling the case on a no win, no fee basis.

Commercial litigation partner Robert Morfee is leading a team of six lawyers on behalf of 10 Equitable Life policyholders in a case scheduled to go before the Bristol mercantile court next year.
