Clifford Chance (CC) is to make an unconfirmed number of assistant solicitors and support staff redundant in its City HQ – becoming the first magic circle firm to resort to lawyer redundancies in recent years.
The surprise move – which was announced to staff today (9 April) – is understood to be the result of a period of consultation with lawyers and support staff about their future at the firm.
