Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer is searching for a replacement for its City-based US corporate head Tom Joyce ahead of the veteran American lawyer’s impending retirement in April.

No successor has so far been finalised for the London-based Joyce, who is highly rated in his sector and whose departure is seen as a setback for Freshfields’ US corporate capability, which has 51 fee-earners including 12 partners.
