London’s Allen & Overy (A&O) is on the verge of closing the much-anticipated disposal of part of Deutsche Bank’s $6bn private equity business as the German banking giant moves to significantly reduce its exposure to the sector.

Corporate partner Alan Paul is understood to be leading the team advising Deutsche Bank Capital on its sale of these holdings, which are valued at $2.5bn.
