Thirty-lawyer French insurance specialist Honig Preel Mettetal Buffat Coulon (HPMBC) has merged with the UK firm Clyde & Co to create one of the largest insurance and re-insurance practices in France.
The new firm, which will be called HPMBC Clyde & Co in France, officially integrated on 1 May, with HPMBC’s Gerard Honig becoming the combined firm’s French senior partner. Clyde & Co will retain its name outside France. It is the UK firm’s first international merger.
