City firm Hobson Audley has hired former Pinsent Curtis partner Donald Stewart. Stewart, who left Pinsents in December 2000, just before the national firm merged with Biddle, comes to Hobson Audley from telecoms company Sei-Mitsu where he worked as general counsel.

“I discovered that my real skills lay in being a lawyer rather than the general counsel of a small telecoms company,” he said. His appointment brings Hobsons’ corporate finance group up to five partners. The number of partners at the firm has now reached a total of 14.
