The head of Dechert’s structured finance and real estate finance teams in Europe, Aparna Sehgal, is no stranger to the highs and lows of the corporate world, through experiences that have shaped both her career and her ambitions for a better industry.
Starting her legal career in 1998, Sehgal joined Clifford Chance as an associate. In between, she spent time as counsel at the International Finance Corporation, then returned to Clifford Chance for a short stint, before a successful 14-year career at Sidley Austin, where she rose to partner.
