Baker McKenzie will enter into a joint venture with Korean international dispute resolution law firm KL Partners, making it the second foreign law firm permitted to practice Korean law since Korea opened its legal market in 2011, the firm told Law.com International.

The joint venture, under the name Baker McKenzie & KL Partners Joint Venture Law Firm (Baker McKenzie KLP JV), has received official approval from Korea’s Ministry of Justice and will officially launch in the middle of this month with more than 20 lawyers, according to Baker McKenzie.
