Indian law firm JSA has recently announced a merger with Chennai-based boutique firm Commercial Law Advisors (CLA). The two practices will combine officially on October 1, 2023.

Integrating CLA into its Chennai office will give JSA more than 25 lawyers on the ground, reviving its practice since a team of corporate lawyers, led by former partner Aarthi Sivanandh, left to join rival Indian firm AZB & Partners in June. That move left JSA with just two lawyers in the eastern Indian city.
