White & Case has expanded its global financial restructuring and insolvency practice with the hire of Sophie Lyall as a partner in Hong Kong. Lyall joins White & Case from Ashurst, where she was a partner and had been practicing for over four years.

Having started her legal career as a solicitor at Bell Gully in New Zealand in 2008, Lyall joined Linklaters as an associate in Hong Kong in 2012 after a year of practice as a lawyer at Gilbert + Tobin in Sydney. She moved to Ashurst to become a partner in Hong Kong in 2019.
