After years of arduous negotiations, four U.S. law firms and more than a dozen firms in Brazil have clinched a restructuring support agreement between Brazilian mining company Samarco Mineração and creditors holding approximately $3 billion in obligations.

Davis Polk & Wardwell partners in London, New York and São Paulo represented the ad hoc group of creditors in coordination with Brazilian firms Padis Mattar Advogados, Ferro, Castro Neves, Daltro & Gomide Advogados and Resende Ribeiro e Reis Advogados.
