The number of U.S. initial public offerings by Chinese companies increased last month as some businesses rushed to launch their listings before China’s new rules around national security and data privacy take effect.

Seven Chinese companies listed on the American bourses in March, compared to four the month before, representing only a slight increase. But compared to all of 2022, which saw just 12 companies list in the U.S., seven listings in a month presents a bright spot.
