In a world awash in disinformation, is there still room for genuine persuasion? Canadian litigator Guy Pratte thinks so and in his podcast launching this month will delve into the art of persuasion in interviews with “persuaders” that range from politicians to actors, fashion designers, doctors, and of course, lawyers.

Pratte, a senior counsel with Borden Ladner Gervais, Canada’s largest law firm, who has litigated at every level of court, up to the Supreme Court of Canada, during his 40-year career, said he’s had the idea for years of doing fireside chats with senior lawyers and judges as a way to both present and record their advice and experience, particularly about the art of persuasion, which is so central to the legal profession.
