Newly retired Canadian Supreme Court Justice Michael Moldaver has joined the law firm Goodmans, where he hopes to apply his 30-plus years on the bench to advise litigators on strategy and other factors in clients’ cases.

In his first couple of weeks at the Toronto-based corporate-commercial firm, which he joined in late February, he’s already used his judicial experience to assist with file reviews, guide on how to frame appeals, and more, he said. He also wants to make sure he’s “talking” to lawyers in the firm and able to do some mentoring.
