A rising tide lifts all ships, although some more than others. In a year that saw one New York firm cross the $8 million mark in profits per equity partner and eight others post over 20% growth in PEP, there were plenty of financial results to celebrate in the U.S. legal capital. 

Many of the drivers that powered a strong 2020 for the 19 home-grown New York firms in the Am Law rankings were still in place. Debt and bond finance, M&A, SPACS and IPOs all played a large part, again, in the strong overall showing within the group.
