ENRC has accused former Dechert partner Neil Gerrard of disclosing information to the Serious Fraud Office in breach of his fiduciary duty, and encouraging it to investigate the company, London’s High Court heard as the case between ENRC, its former advisers Dechert and Gerrard, and the SFO, reached adjournment.

Set to resume on June 7, the hearing has lasted four days so far, and is the culmination of a decade-long dispute between joint respondents Dechert and Gerrard – who retired from the firm in 2020 – and former client ENRC, a mining firm, which instructed Gerrard on a white collar matter between 2011 and 2013.
