Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer has continued to narrow its gender and ethnicity pay gap, according to its latest report, which also reported on disability and sexual orientation pay gaps for the first time.

The firm’s mean hourly partner pay gap for 2020 stood at 2.4%, down from 10.4% in 2019. Factors driving the numbers include, according to the report, “an increase in the number of female partners at the top end of the lockstep”.
