Reed Smith partner Daniel Winterfeldt QC has left the firm to join investment bank Jefferies as a managing director and its general counsel for the Europe, Middle East and Africa and Asia, according to two people familiar with the matter.
His move marks another departure from Reed Smith’s London base, which has seen several partner exits in the past two years. Most recently, two Reed Smith construction disputes partners left the firm to join King & Spalding while Fried Frank added restructuring partner Mandip Englund in January.
