Bracewell improved revenue and profits in 2020, posting record revenue per lawyer and profits per equity partner as the firm’s practice mix — roughly split between transactions and litigation/government regulatory — was a fit for a year impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic.

“We feel super fortunate that 2020 was a productive year across the entire firm. We are a very balanced and diversified firm, and that served us well in 2020,” said managing partner Gregory Bopp.

Revenue hit $295 million at Bracewell last year, up 3.9% when compared with $284 million in 2019. With 3.5% fewer lawyers, RPL improved to $901,000, up 7.5% from $838,000 the prior year.
