Kim represents issuers and underwriters in a wide variety of capital markets transactions, including equity and debt offerings by U.S. and Korean corporations, banks, and governmental entities. He also has experience advising on domestic and cross-border M&A transactions.

Most recently, Kim advised the Korean entertainment giant Big Hit Entertainment on their $827 million initial public offering—the biggest IPO in Korea in 2020.

Launched in 2012, the firm’s Seoul office now boasts three partners, the two others being corporate partner Daniel Kim and office head Dong Chul Kim. The latter took up his current position at the beginning of the year following the transfer of his predecessor, Jong Han Kim, to the firm’s Los Angeles office.

In Asia, Paul Hastings also has offices in Hong Kong, Beijing, Shanghai and Tokyo.
