Almost exactly two years ago, 34 law firms launched the first-ever diversity initiative in Belgium’s legal industry – the Legal Diversity & Inclusion Alliance (LDIA).
The initiative – which was led by support staff at Steptoe and Van Bael & Bellis and which seeks to build a workplace in which everyone benefits from equal treatment and opportunities – marked a significant cultural shift for the country’s legal sector.
