Burford Capital began trading on the New York Stock Exchange on Monday, becoming the first litigation funder to be publicly traded in the United States and the first dual-listed company in the legal finance industry.

The company used the launch as an opportunity to drop its latest research report on the finance industry, which presents a steadily growing openness to the use of litigation finance arrangements among law firm lawyers as well as corporations in the U.S. and abroad.
