A Melbourne-based personal injury law firm has launched a class action against two security companies over failures in properly quarantining returned overseas travelers which caused a second wave outbreak of COVID-19 in Australia’s second-largest city.

In the latest COVID-19-related class action in Australia, the firm Arnold Thomas & Becker said security companies Unified Security Group and MSS Security were responsible for managing the quarantining of the travelers and did not take adequate steps to mitigate the risks associated with the transmission of the virus.
