Reed Smith has opened an office in Paris, picking up four partners from local M&A leader Rambaud Martel, as the Pittsburgh firm continues to expand into Europe.

The 1,000-lawyer US firm has hired Mathieu Rambaud (the son of Rambaud Martel founder Jean-Francois Rambaud) and Benoit Charot to open the office on 14 November. Also moving from 70-lawyer Rambaud Martel are partners Marie Albertini and Philippe Lecler, and six associates.
