newscastShearman & Sterling’s global head of securitisation and derivatives, Holland West, has resigned for a senior in-house position as the New York firm prepares to split one of its key practice areas in two.

West, who has headed the group since its inception in 2001, informed Shearman in December that he is to leave to become general counsel at client Silverback Asset Management.
