Kirsten is Co-Head of the Health Care Department and focuses her practice on providing regulatory, reimbursement, compliance, and operational advice to clients in the health care industry. She provides regulatory support in connection with mergers, acquisitions, service reconfigurations and other business transactions, and analyzes the Medicare and Medicaid reimbursement implications of these transactions. Her practice includes completing regulatory filings and managing the regulatory approval process in connection with these transactions.

Kirsten also advises clients on Medicare and Medicaid enrollment and certification issues; Medicare and Medicaid coverage and reimbursement issues; provider based restructuring considerations; licensure and accreditation; and EMTALA compliance. She represents clients before state and federal regulatory and administrative bodies in connection with licensure and reimbursement matters.

In addition, Kirsten assists clients in developing and implementing corporate compliance programs, handling internal regulatory investigations, and implementing corrective action plans, including self-reporting overpayments and regulatory violations to governmental agencies.

Jacey LaManna is Senior Counsel for Universal Health Services, Inc “UHS” and its subsidiaries. She has primary responsibility for all transactional and regulatory matters for UHS’s behavioral health facilities, including state licensing and Medicare Compliance, mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures, affiliations and reorganizations, health care contracting, licensure, antitrust planning and compliance-related issues

Jacey joined UHS in 2010 as Associate General Counsel and was promoted to Senior Counsel in 2014. Prior to joining UHS, Jacey spent 11 years in the Healthcare Division of Stevens and Lee.

Jacey is Vice Chair of the Reimbursement Interest Group of the Health Section of the American Bar Association and speaks nationally on healthcare issues.

She is also a member of the American Health Lawyers Association.

Jacey graduated from Dickinson College with a B.A. in 1996 and received her law degree from The Dickinson School of Law of the Pennsylvania State University in 1999.
