This presentation will focus on COVID-19 testing and relevant regulations. We will cover the types of COVID-19 tests available, the various specimen types used for testing, and regulations determining who can receive the results.

In this session, we will examine the key challenges of 2020 and best practice to approaching and resolving these challenges and disputes, whilst also take a look at 2021 and how the regulation needs to change to improve employee welfare in the future.

Employers across the nation are confronting a host of new or amended employment laws addressing pay equity, pay inquiry, and paid sick leave. For instance, various U.S. municipalities and states, including New York City, Philadelphia, New York, California, and Puerto Rico have also enacted new legislation that prohibits employers from asking applicants about their current or past salary, creating additional compliance and recruitment challenges for employers. Additionally, various states and localities have adopted or are considering mandatory paid sick leave laws, adding to the assortment of new employer requirements. So what will the future workplace look like for women?

This seminar will look at a number of issues related to the use of medical marijuana for workers’ comp injuries, considerations and coverage questions for insurers, provide answers for employers on applying drug policies and look at other risks for employees, employers and insurers in the workplace.
