With the scale of change witnessed in 2020 from businesses battling the pandemic, to exploring the increasing importance of ESG, diversity and inclusion, the world of compliance, ethics and culture is likely to undergo much change in the coming years, which should be for the better. In this session, we will explore these emerging trends and how they link to the role of General Counsel in the "new normal".

The automation of data collection, coupled with highly sophisticated tools for analyzing and processing data in real time, is radically changing the way we do business. This topic has prompted considerable debate, both philosophical and legal, about the right, legitimate, and proper ways we collect data. This highly engaging session will tackle the timely topic of the ethical responsibilities of data leveraging and collection.

Facial recognition is used by law enforcement surveillance, airport passenger screening, and employment and housing decisions.
