U.S. District Court Judge Lynne McGuire of the District of Oklahoma acknowledged in a ruling that Kris Williams "acted in a parental role" and was listed as "second mother" on the birth certificate but held that Williams forfeited her parental rights to a child born to her then-wife, Rebekah Wilson, because Williams had a path to parentage and she failed to take it by not legally adopting her child.
