In the hours and days since the U.S. Supreme Court issued its landmark decision in Dobbs v. Jackson Women’s Health Organization, law firm leaders and others in Big Law have come out with statements, either internally or publicly, on the ruling.

Many firms didn’t say much after a draft of the opinion was leaked earlier this year, noting privately that they either didn’t want to comment on something that wasn’t final or weren’t sure how to respond on an issue that was at times divisive among their talent and client base. When the final ruling was issued June 24, the statements started taking shape. We aim to capture them here, sometimes edited for length. If you want your firm’s comments reflected, email the business of law desk here.
