What are your proudest accomplishments in the area of diversity and inclusion in law? In 2020, my husband and I funded and launched The Women’s Leadership Initiative (WLI) at Albany Law School. It delivers leadership training opportunities for students and alumnae, networking events and a fellowship program.

Since its launch, I’ve stayed involved, serving as chair of the advisory committee. Recent programming has spanned cannabis law to film and television copyright, in addition to more foundational topics. Soon after launch, we nearly doubled the program’s endowment and secured a law firm sponsor which has committed to providing employment opportunities to the school’s brightest female stars. Perhaps most importantly, the feedback on our programming has been incredible. In our first year, over 95% of attendees reported that they would recommend the program to others. Those programs have continued in subsequent years.
