The New York State Bar Association on Monday said it wants to join forces with the Office of Court Administration to empanel a task force to decide which court proceedings should be held virtually, improve client access to technology and expand e-filing to pro se litigants.

The bar’s 128-page report details the public’s struggles participating in state court proceedings since the pandemic began in March 2020, and comes in the face of a state commission’s series of public hearings on a way forward for the court system. The most recent was last week.
