New York litigation firm Patterson Belknap Webb & Tyler found consistency amid the turmoil of 2020, finishing the year with flat revenue and slight gains in profit and net income.

The single-office law firm grossed $215 million last year and bumped net income up 4.5% to $86.9 million. Profits per equity partner (PEP) reached $1.8 million, a 3.2% increase over 2019; and revenue per lawyer was down slightly due to attorney head count increasing by 2.1 (full-time equivalent) lawyers, finishing the year at just over $1.1 million.
