A Stamford Superior Court judge is suing Fairfield after he broke his neck playing pickleball in a town-owned facility for seniors.

The lawsuit, filed Jan. 29 in Bridgeport Superior Court on behalf of Judge William Wenzel, alleges the judge suffered head injuries and broke his neck and ribs because the indoor pickleball courts were too close to bordering concrete walls, which were not padded.
