Ashurst’s affiliated firm in Jakarta, Oentoeng Suria & Partners, has recruited a new dispute resolution partner as the global firm tries to recover from several departures in the Indonesia practice.

Prawidha “Wida” Murti joins from Jakarta-based Makes & Partners, a firm that has a relationship with Singapore’s WongPartnership. Murti has worked on litigation cases before Indonesian courts and has handled international arbitration.  She was part of a cross-border legal team helping Astro Malaysia Holdings Bhd. seek enforcement of a $130 million Singapore International Arbitration Center award against Indonesian conglomerate Lippo Group. The case continued for seven years and spanned multiple Asian jurisdictions.
